Hope is a professional Hip-Hop artist and performer from Leq'a:mel First Nation British Columbia, and based in Vancouver BC. Inspired by Tradition, Hope uses the art of storytelling and rhyme to depict life on the reservation and illustrate to others what it is to be indigenous. Releasing his first album with Indigenous Hip Hop Duo "Status Krew" in 2011, Hope has been steadily contributing to the BC Underground Hip Hop scene as well as the Indigenous Hip Hop scene through EP, Album and Music Video releases ever since. In 2014 Hope along with his rhyme partner "Doobie" joined local artist Mamarudegyal MTHC in co-founding Indigenous Hip Hop and Multimedia group "Rudegang Entertainment" Winning a Fraser Valley Music award in 2017 (Best in Hip Hop - Male) sparked new motivation for Hope, who then embarked on a new project and the most important album of his career thus far, "Red Man" coming 2019.

Doobie from SKS is an indigenous Hip Hop artist from Mission BC, and one half of Coast Salish rap duo Status Krew. Doobie Raps about being Indigenous in Canada, experiencing life on the reserve through his eyes, something many Canadians are still very unfamiliar with— oh and also, weed. Being apart of Status Krew and more recently Rudegang Entertainment has given Doobie the Confidence, the Tools and the Experience to continue Growing, Creating and Releasing his Music.

Mamarudegyal MTHC is a QBIPOC Rap/Hip Hop and R&B Artist Currently living in Vancouver BC, and the Founder of Indigenous Hip Hop & Multimedia Group Rudegang Entertainment. Releasing her debut EP “MRG EP” in 2016, and taking home two Fraser Valley Music Awards (Best Hip Hop - Female, Queer Excellence in Music) in 2017, Mamarudegyal MTHC has continued to build a name for herself in the BC Hip Hop scene and keeping her supporters waiting impatiently for her follow up album, currently in progress.

Dj Kookum kookin up beats in clubs and festivals all across this

continent. This diverse mix diva slays on the decks and always brings

hype vibes to the party. An open format DJ and an EDM lover since birth,

Kookum’s song selection is fresh and unpredictable. You’re most likely

back remixes. Kookum likes to mix hip-hop acapella’s with edm

instrumentals and incorporate local and independent artists into mixes.

Aside from that, Kookum facilitates workshop’s, coordinates community

and youth dances, performs and tours with hop-hop artists, works as a

videographer, and is in the studio working on cooking up original’s and

remixes.

DJ DBL G is a 90's Hip-Hop and R&B Dj. Add a mix of Turntablism to spice up any set. Currently spinning at the Kingsway Bar in Port Alberni.
