About The Event
The Squamish Veterans pow wow is FREE and ALL ARE WELCOME. The powwow is a great opportunity to experience Native culture.
10 am- Vendors set up
We will have a moment of silence to honor past & present Veterans.
Pow wow Grand Entry is at Noon both days.
There will be three Grand Entry. ( 2 on Saturday and one on Sunday)

Head Male Dancer- Sempulyan Gonzales
Female head dancer - Cara Jefferson
Drum groups will receive day pay. At least 5 people per drum.
Security- to be determined
First Aid- to be determined.
Tiny tots, Jr & Sr Princess, Squamish Veterans Jr & Sr Brave, Squamish Veterans Grandma and Grandpa specials to be determined.
We need volunteers the day of the event.. We will have a raffle, prizes to be drawn on Nov 3 2019. If you want to have a Special- please contact our AD Pavel- before or the day of our gathering.
We will have incoming 6-8 Royalty Categories Squamish Veteran’s Tiny tots, Jr & Sr Princess, Squamish Veterans Jr & Sr Brave, Squamish Veterans Grandma and Grandpa. We may consider 2019 Squamish Veteran’s Tiny Tot categories if we have enough interest.
Grand Entry at noon daily. Specials to be announced. We will have a committee raffle, no outside raffles permitted. We are not responsible for any form of loss, theft, vandalism, or travel assistance. Craft tables pay Bernice Discon $60.00 per day, Vendors are allowed the space of one table. No additional space is allowed to be fair to all the vendors. Sallee Whitewing our daughter is in charge of the Royalty contest. Bernice Discon is in charge of all the vendor tables. Volunteers needed the day of the event. Bring your own water bottle, we have a fountain. See you on Saturday and Sunday. We will have chairs set up. We will have some bleachers pulled out as well. There will be a concession stand, they are fundraising. They are the only ones permitted to sell snacks/food, meals and drinks. Nora has permission to sell Indian Ice-cream.
We are looking for Sponsors to pay for various categories, ie. Men's Traditional, or tiny tot, Women's Jingle.
